Thus it begins…again

Welcome to the redesign and relaunch of the Frugal FIRE Show (and website). This is going to be the main landing point of the episodes as they are released. 2017 will be the year of consistent episodes, finally. A few years back, I did a few episodes with my super awesome cohost, Sacha Chua. Sacha provided an invaluable service, by providing live sketchnotes during the episodes, being another person so an actual discussion could happen, and using her blog to host those initial episodes. Definitely stop by and take a look at them.

Sacha took a step back to focus on other things, and coupled with a lack of time and motivation on my part, I let it fall by the wayside. If I was one to beat myself up for past choices, I’d be upset I stopped, because I have consistently been told it provided value. However, instead of feeling upset, I’m going to bring it back, and bring it back better. Now, I have a tendency to have eyes bigger than my mouth, and I let perfect be the enemy of good. So instead of waiting until I have all the kinks worked out, and a perfect show, I’m going to treat this as a journey of creation. And you are all welcome to follow along as I stumble my way through this. I’m not going to bother posting links to the legacy episodes, since the initial episodes link above has more information there.

So, again, I’d like to welcome you all to the site. This is going to be a fun journey. I will be discussing all aspects of the show, this blog, and everything else. There are plenty of things besides the production itself that are going to be involved in this.

Good to hear from you again Jordan. I’ve really made some big changes on my FIRE journey including cutting my commute, becoming a 1 car family and downsizing the house. Best part, a big increase in happiness!

Pat, that is awesome!! I’ve been around, but primarily on the forums. Downsizing is one of those things that definitely increases happiness, but the process itself is difficult. How’d you do on it? You can share in the community too if you want.

True words my friend! I could probably write twice as much if I just put stuff up… and write less than half as much if I tried to be perfect! Nothing will be perfect for everyone, so just produce what you can and garner the followers that are interested! Good luck, looking forward to seeing some episodes!
